| Forest resources are renewable and dynamic resources, so it is very important to improve the management of forest resources information, update the forest resources data, fully understand their current status and changes and finally achieve sustainable forest management. This paper reviewed the development process of forest resources information management since 1960s in China, and introduced the evolvement of the content, means and technology of forest information management, acquisition method for forest change information, updating method of stand/tree factors for unchanged sub-compartment. Finally, the trend of forest resource information management in China was prospected. |
